70% of Children escape from their 5 point harness

From our own research talking to parents, we determined that more than 70% of children fastened in car seats with the 5 point harness manage to wriggle and get their shoulders out of the shoulder straps.

My child doesn’t wriggle out of the harness he presses the button to release it all and climbs out of the chair

Mine too. I’ve been directed to this page by the manufacturer on my car seat. What a waste. Completely unhelpful

My son at 2 is doing exactly the same! Joie are telling me that lots of kids do it, so I shouldn’t worry…..I am very worried! No other car seat have I had a problem with, it’s looking like I’ll need to make a formal complaint and raise concerns to appropriate governing bodies. Did Joie resolve this issue with you?

This is shocking, absolutely shocking that a large “trusted” manufacturer is allowed to use this as an excuse for their poor, poor car seat it.
It is not my child’s fault the straps do not tighten, they loosen so my baby gets out of the seat.
The advise from Joie is to use a device that is not even approved!
